Nestor J. Limas

Mr. Limas brings over 20 years of institutional Real Estate experience to Colombia Investment Group. His background is rooted in institutional real estate having worked with the firms AEW Capital Management and General Investment and Development.

Mr. Limas works on development issues, acquisitions, and is in charge of our underwriting and due diligence departments. His background is rooted in institutional real estate with an emphasis on residential multi-family, condominium, hotel, retail, mixed use, and income producing commercial Real Estate.

Under his management, his firms have managed many mixed use projects, including a 104 unit condo conversion, 400 units in urban in-fill locations, and management of a 2,000 acre master planned community in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA valued in excess of $1 billion.

His internIMG_0015ational project experience includes 1,500 single family sub-division in three master plan communities which involved acquisition, development management, property management of multiple condominium units, and consultation on multiple projects with a leading design and development firm.

Mr. Limas was born in Bogota, Colombia and has resided in the United States for the past 30 years affording him a bi-cultural understanding of each country’s business dynamics. Mr. Limas is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

 

 

Timothy R. Kopatich

Mr. Kopatich brings over 15 years of experience in both domestic and international Real Estate. His focus has been primarily in the areas of development, finance, and sales and marketing.

Mr. Kopatich leads our investor relations department. He has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate financing and was the managing partner for a commercial and residential mortgage firm with over 30 employees and over $50 million per year in financing volume.

For the past 7 years Mr. Kopatich has been involved in both the Costa Rican and Colombian real estate markets, and led the most successful residential real estate company in Costa Rica, with annual sales of over $5 million per year.

In Colombia his projects include successful closings of resort hotel properties and consulting on numerous financing packages for Americans purchasing property in Colombia. He attended the University of Iowa and is a member of both the Costa Rica and Colombia chambers of commerce.

 

Jonathan Frutkin

Jonathan Frutkin has a long history as a business executive and owner. He has owned a website design business, a software company, a real estate development company and was the developer for a national ice cream chain. As the j-frutkinfounder of The Frutkin Law Firm, he worked to put together the top legal talent available to assist business clients – growing the firm to more than 10 attorneys within a few short years. His practice focus was on providing general counsel, including capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, litigation strategy and intellectual property.

He’s the author of the book Equity Crowdfunding: Transforming Customers into Loyal Owners. He has also appeared frequently in the media, including in international publications like The Economist, Kiplinger Personal Finance and The Washington Post. He is a frequent media commentator on television, on the radio and in print throughout the world.

 

Hooman Nikzad

Hooman Nikzad is the Chief Investment Officer for Cricca Funding. His responsibilities include strategic partnerships, business development and he leads our issuer selection committee. Prior to joining Cricca, Hooman founded a series of companies including one of the largest regional HR outsourcing coIMG_0034mpanies in the Southwest, National PEO, based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Hooman began his career in the textile industry. In 1989 he co-founded Pro Pay, Inc. with Arnold Diamond. After selling Pro Pay, Inc. to Employee Solutions, Inc. in 1993, Hooman, along with Todd Belfer, founded M.D. Labs, a premier manufacturer and marketer of health related products. Hooman successfully sold his interest in M.D. Labs before moving to National PEO.
